Is there homework in Kindergarten?
Yes, we do have homework in
Kindergarten!!! Students are encouraged
to read (or be read to) a minimum of 10
minutes each night and practice their sight word ring nightly. There may be
additional homework activities sent home throughout the year, so please check
your child’s folder each night. Many
children who do not complete the homework feel left out because they didn’t
have the opportunity to share. The
purpose for the homework activities is to help the children continue to develop
the skills taught at school through fun reinforcement activities. Please help
us in developing good study habits with your child by making sure homework is
completed and returned on time. The most
important thing we want to teach your child is that homework is important and
fun. Please make sure it is an enjoyable
experience at home.
